Colorado television production company, Teletrends, and television producer, Vicky Collins, develop and produce programming for domestic and international audiences.  Teletrends specializes in television production for broadcast, cable, national syndication, internet, corporate and non-profit clients.  Teletrends develops original concepts and works with outstanding professionals to turn ideas into powerful television.  

The television production landscape is changing.  Teletrends meets the evolving needs of clients by staying on top of trends that are shaping television production and digital content.  Our productions include network news, long form storytelling, documentary programs, Olympic and multi-event sports, image oriented corporate presentations and videos that advance humanitarian work of non-profit organizations.  

 

Vicky Collins is an Emmy award winning television producer with over 30 years of experience in news, non-fiction programming and sports.  Her television production experience has taken her to all 50 states and six continents.  Achievements also include four prestigious National Emmys, two Telly Awards, an Iris Award, a Cine Golden Eagle, and the UPI/Lee Nelson Award for Outstanding Newscast in New England.

Recent Work

*Producing and booking for network news clients NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CNN and Weather Channel.  Produced at Aurora Theatre shooting trial and 2012 attack, Hurricane Irma, the Taylor Swift trial, the San Francisco plane crash, the Moore, Oklahoma tornado and the Parkland School Shooting.  Produced stories on marijuana and energy use for Rocky Mountain PBS.

 

*Producing and booking for Dateline NBC murder/mysteries on Aspen's Nancy Pfister, Harold Henthorn, Ralph Candelario and JonBenet Ramsey.  Field producing and consulting for MSNBC's "Pot Barons of Colorado."

 

*Assisted with launch and regional coverage for Al Jazeera America.  Go to person when staff team was on the road.  Acting bureau chief, managing editor and coordinating producer in Denver bureau.

 

*Production of videos for the University of Denver Founder's Gala, Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, the Betty Ford Children's Program, Denver Health Foundation, The Gathering Place and Marin CASA non-profits.

 

*Developed and produced "Ultimate Dodgeball" for national airing on Fox Sports Net and additional regional television networks.  Worked with Skyzone Indoor Trampoline Parks and Action Television to deliver one hour program on the national championship from Los Angeles.

 

*Television production of long form stories for AXS TV's "Dan Rather Reports" and “World Report.”  Most recent projects include China in the Caribbean, The Greening of Greensburg, Kansas, Oil Drilling in Uganda's Murchison Falls National Park and Prostitution in Nevada.  

 

 

*Producer for SIS Live at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India. Worked in the highlights unit to produce a daily hour long feed of athletic competition for distribution to rights holding broadcasters.

 

*Producer/ENG Supervisor for Olympic Broadcasting Services at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.  Worked for Olympic News Channel in a production and operations capacity overseeing 20 ENG crews.  Producer of an hour long daily highlights feed and short documentary detailing the making of the games coverage.  

        

*Television production of videos for the Boulder, Colorado and Kampala, Uganda based NGO, BeadforLife.  Coverage led to stories on HDNet's World Report, The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, NBC Nightly News and NBC's Today Show.  Took three trips to Uganda over four years.     

*Producing for Beijing Olympic Broadcasting during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Produced a documentary program that chronicled BOB’s coverage, summaries and an hour long daily Paralympics highlights feed for rights holding broadcasters.  Daily supervision of producers, editors and crews. Three month overseas assignment.
