VICKY COLLINS

Teletrends’ President Vicky Collins is an Emmy award winning television producer with over 25 years of experience in news and programming.  She has worked as a coordinating, cutting and field producer for “NBC Nightly News,” “Today,” “Dateline NBC” and MSNBC.  Her contributions include the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation, the Columbine High School tragedy, the Space Shuttle disaster, the Kobe Bryant case, Hurricanes Floyd, Ivan, Katrina, Rita and Wilma, the Centennial Park bombing and the Greensburg, Kansas tornado.      

Vicky Collins also was a television producer for NBC Sports at the 1996, 2000, 2002 and 2004 Olympics.  She produced the nationally syndicated shows “The Year in Sports” and “America’s Passions,” as well as documentaries for Outdoor Life Network’s “Earth Rescue” series.  Vicky also has produced long form stories on important issues such as immigration and endangered species for HDNet's "Dan Rather Reports" and "World Report."  Vicky also developed the critically acclaimed magazine programs “Show Me St. Louis” and “First Cut.” 

In addition, she worked with Popular Arts Entertainment on “The National Parents Report Card” and with Media Associates Group on “Cowboy Journal” starring Michael Martin Murphy.  Other projects include HGTV’s “If Walls Could Talk,” “Homes of our Heritage,” “Secret Gardens,” “Christmas Castles,” and Discovery Travel's "Beaches of the World."  Additional credits include HDNet's "Harlem Globetrotters: A Gift for the Troops," “Buzz TV,” “Inside Beauty Secrets of Hollywood,” “The Gorge Games,” “The Lexus Tomba Tour,” “The Jeep King of the Mountain,” "The Ford Freeride Challenge," “The Bryant Gumbel Walt Disney World Celebrity Amateur Golf Tournament,” "The Teva Mountain Games" and “Sportslife with Dan Marino." 

Vicky's television productions encompass thousands of nightly newscasts, including coverage of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake, the Oakland firestorm and the Gulf War, live talk shows, magazine shows, game shows, public affairs shows, children’s shows, live events and high profile corporate and non-profit productions.  Her work has taken her to all 50 states and to Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa.  Achievements also include four prestigious National Emmys, two Telly Awards, an Iris Award, a Cine Golden Eagle, and the UPI/Lee Nelson Award for Outstanding Newscast in New England.
